Global Education Advisor
Ryan Rockmore joined the Chapman team in 2021, after years of service as an independent school Spanish teacher and antiracist, justice, and equity practitioner. After participating in two high school language immersion and homestay programs—Spain and Ecuador—through the Experiment in International Living, he deepened his abroad experience by studying in Madrid for a semester as an undergraduate Spanish Education student at NYU. Ryan immediately flew across the Atlantic after graduation and, over the next three years, conducted Fulbright research in Seville, taught English in Madrid, and obtained an MA in Dance Anthropology at the University of Roehampton. In addition to leisurely travel throughout his twenties, he co-led thematic student trips to The Netherlands, Spain, China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Most recently, he has completed graduate coursework in Culture and Performance at UCLA and served as administrative coordinator for the Dancing Disability Lab. Ryan is also a professional flamenco dancer and researcher, plant lover, and Italian-American dual citizen.
